Rhian studied 3D Design & Crafts at Brighton University, specialising in wood and plastics. She went on to become a freelance mouldmaker for the fine art industry. Increasing family pressures and concerning environmental issues led Rhian to give up working with plastics and instead focus on paper and collage, a medium she fell in love with as a child.
Nature is Rhian’s biggest inspiration, especially birds, whose characters and habits she observed avidly as a child growing up in the depths of quarry country in South West Wales.
Rhian lives in London with her husband and two children, who also share her passion for cutting and sticking.
